SADIE CAULDER KNIGHT PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIP

The Provincial Championship is named in honour of Sadie Caulder Knight. Sadie pioneered artistic swimming in Saskatchewan. She learned to swim as an adult then began teaching children to swim. That soon evolved into teaching the fundamentals of artistic swimming in the 1940s.  Sadie taught hundreds of swimmers over the years but each youngster who passed through her hands was treated as an individual. To know her was to love, respect and admire her. Knowing her made a difference in the lives of all her students. Sadie was inducted into the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame.
