As you may have heard, Canada Artistic Swimming (CAS) has decided to suspend training at their National Training Center after they received feedback from current team members that were very concerning. CAS has hired a third party independent company to review all aspects of their center and its training environment.
CAS has stated the following, “ We do not want to pre-judge the outcome of this review. It is our hope that at its conclusion we will have a much better understanding of what issues led to this situation, how we can work together to resolve those issues and map out a path to move forward”.
This is a very difficult time for our sport and Saskatchewan Artistic Swimming supports CAS in their endeavors to bring resolution to this very sensitive situation.
We would ask our members to respect the investigation that is taking place and not to engage in social media posts that may be well intended, but in the long run may hurt the sport that we all love. Social Media can be an amazing platform but it can also be harmful in very difficult situations such as this.
