I attended SWG as an athlete in 2014 for Team Saskatoon for artistic swimming. This year will be my first time attending as a coach. One of my teammates from the 2014 games is my co coach for the 2023 games, it is such a full circle moment to attend together again!
My advice for my athletes is to have fun and enjoy this once in a lifetime opportunity.
My second favourite sport to watch at SWG is gymnastics.
I look up to the head coach, Laurie Wachs, of The Saskatoon Aqualenes. She is an amazing role model, leader and has dedicated her life to artistic swimming.
If I were to be a Disney character, I'd obviously be Ariel because of the red hair and she's a mermaid (basically an artistic swimmer!).
