Mobile Camps
Saskatchewan Artistic Swimming (SAS) Mobile Camps bring artistic swimming opportunities directly to communities across the province. These short, flexible programs are designed to make artistic swimming more accessible, whether a community is introducing the sport for the first time or supporting athletes and coaches who are ready to build their skills.
What are Mobile Camps?
Mobile Camps are community-based artistic swimming programs delivered by SAS in partnership with local hosts. Each camp is tailored to the community’s goals, available facilities, participant experience levels, and local interest. This means no two camps look exactly the same—some may focus on introducing children and youth to the sport, while others may support established clubs with technical training, choreography, or coach education.
What is involved in a Mobile Camp?
A Mobile Camp can include a variety of activities depending on the needs of the community. SAS works with local organizers to plan a program that may include:
- Introductory artistic swimming sessions for new participants
- Skill development for recreational or competitive athletes
- Choreography support and routine development
- Coach education or mentorship opportunities
- Special guest appearances or athlete-led demonstrations when available
Examples of recent Mobile Camps
Martensville – July 2026: Hosted in partnership with the City of Martensville, this camp introduced artistic swimming to local residents in a fun and welcoming environment. Paris 2024 Olympian Sydney Carroll attended as a special guest, helping inspire participants and showcase the sport.
Yorkton – August 2026: This camp supported members of the Yorkton Aquabatix Artistic Swimming Club with more advanced training and choreography development. Sessions were facilitated by a national-level coach and also included an education opportunity for coaches.
SAS provides most of the specialized artistic swimming equipment needed for a camp. When available, local resources may also be used to support programming and help create the best possible experience for participants.
Bring a Mobile Camp to Your Community
Interested in hosting a Mobile Camp? SAS is excited to work with communities across Saskatchewan to introduce artistic swimming, support local programming, and create meaningful development opportunities for athletes, coaches, and new participants.
To get started, communities can connect with SAS to discuss local goals, facility availability, participant needs, and possible camp dates. From there, SAS will help shape a camp that fits the community.
