Coach Education

Artistic swimming coaches are certified under NCCP. AquaGO!, Competition Introduction and Competition Development courses may be offered in Saskatchewan. Contact the Saskatchewan Artistic Swimming Technical Director for more information.

Coach/Judge Conference

Saskatchewan Artistic Swimming is pleased to host the bi-annual Coach/Judge Conference in the fall of 2022 in Saskatoon. Coaches and judges from across Canada are encouraged to attend this event. The conference includes joint sessions for coaches and judges as well as sessions for coaches only and judges only. Contact our Technical Director for more information.

Respect in Sport

All Saskatchewan Artistic Swimming coaches must complete the Respect in Sport course. For more information on Respect in Sport and to take the certification online, follow this link http://www.sasksport.sk.ca/RiS/.

NCCP Certification

AquaGO!

  • A recreational coach who teaches recreational athletes.
  • Must be fully certified in AquaGO! program to instruct the course.
  • Effective April 1, 2021, AquaGO! Trained is required before taking Competition Introduction.

Competition Introduction

  • A competitive coach who may work with athletes competing in Provincial, Limited Competitive or Recreational athletes.
  • To coach Provincial or Limited Competitive athletes at a Saskatchewan Artistic Swimming sanctioned competition, the coach must be fully certified NCCP Competition Introduction or higher prior to registration for competition.
  • Note: Competition Introduction is a combination of the previous NCCP Level 1 and 2 certifications.

Competition Development

  • A competitive coach who works with all levels of athletes.
  • To coach National athletes at Sandra Roberts Provincial Championship, a coach must be fully certified at the Competitive Development Level prior to the competition.
