Sheila Parker Selected to Receive Sask Sport 2017 Female Coach Dedication Award

Synchro Saskatchewan is very excited to announce that Sheila Parker was selected to receive the 2017 Female Coach Dedication Award from Sask Sport. Sheila is very deserving of this award due to her long involvement coaching synchronized swimming, her exceptional dedication to her athletes and for being a great role model for other coaches in North Battleford and across Saskatchewan. Sheila has been a synchro coach since 1986 (a total of 31 years) with the past 21 years as the head coach for the North Battleford Water Doves. Sheila exemplifies ‘Coach Dedication’.

Sask Sport Inc. announced today all recipients for the 2017 Saskatchewan Sport Awards, which include Athlete of the Year Awards, Team of the Year Award, Coach of the Year Awards, Official of the Year Awards and Volunteer Awards. The Saskatchewan Sport Awards are chosen annually by Sask Sport Inc. to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Saskatchewan amateur athletes and coaches as well as the generous individuals who volunteer their time and talents to improve amateur sport in the province.

 

Sheila was nominated by Synchro Saskatchewan with thanks extended to all members of the Synchro Sask Nomination & Recognition Committee for their work on this submission.

 

The awards will be presented at a reception on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at TCU Place in Saskatoon. (details below)
